Wednesday Fun Day!

So, it's Wednesday. And apparently, there's a lot of business to do on Wednesdays. So, I'm sorry if I am writing way too much for you. Forgive me please?

Well, it's that time again. A Wee Bit of Me Wednesdays!!! If you want to play, go ahead and link up with Leigh Ashley! You can even click on her cute button below to link up!

{one} what time do you normally wake up?
Somewhere between 6:30 and 7. I've always been an early bird. When I was 4, I used to wake up at 5:30 to go to school, so yeah...

{two} do you have a go-to song for karaoke?
I Love Rock and Roll!!!!

{three} if you could only see black and white except for one color, what color would you choose to see?
green. It's my favorite color, plus it's comforting.

{four} what color best matches your personality?
yellow! and green!

{five} if you could choose one meal to cook better than anyone else, what would it be?
Cake noodles. I love cake noodles.

{six} how many keys do you have on your key ring?
Three.

{seven} do you give your pets birthday/christmas gifts?
No. Haha.

{eight} when your plate has different foods on it, do you mix or not?
It depends on what kind of food there is. Usually, I kind of do though.

{nine} if you could hire someone to do one thing for you all the time, what would it be?
Cook. Yep, definitely cook. And bake. The person would need to be awesome at cooking and baking.

{ten} when flying, do you prefer the window or aisle seat?
Window. Near the wing. I don't know why, but I just love it there.

Aside from being Wee Bit of Me Wednesday, it is also the Welcome Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by Take It From Me. Go link up and check out some of the other blogs on the Blog Hop. You never know, you just might make a new friend!

OK, Now I'm really done with the Wednesday posting. I need to do homework...or something like that!

XOXO,

P.S. I may or may not be posting a video blog (hopefully tomorrow). Let's just hope that I will though!

Ahhh...Christmas!

I know, I know. It isn't even Thanksgiving yet, but hey, cut me some slack here!

I love winter. It's my favorite season. All of my favorite holidays happen in the winter (well...and in late fall too, I guess). Unfortunately, I never had the chance to play in the snow or to build a snowman, or have a snowball fight. We don't even have actual winter here in Hawaii. Sure, it does get a little chillier and it rains more often, but that's the extent of our winter season. You can even find people hanging out on the beach on Christmas morning, enjoying time with family.

My favorite thing about Christmas has always been Christmas cards. When I was younger and learning how to write, my grandma would pick up boxes of cards from the store and she would have me write short notes in the cards. We would give those cards to everyone. Teachers, friends, family, pastors, heck I think we even gave one to the lady who worked at McDonalds one year!

Now, Christmas cards have gone way fancy thanks to people being more computer savvy. Now days, all you really have to do is take some family pictures with your digital camera and upload it onto either an online site with ready made templates or, if you're feeling extra fancy, you can even make your own Christmas card with photoshop. Well, I'm not fancy enough to use photoshop, so I turn to Shutterfly instead!

Have I ever mentioned before how much I love Shutterfly? Well, I do. There are so many cute projects that you can make in an instant. It's so quick and easy that anyone (even a Caveman) could do it!

For Christmas last year, my Aunty and Uncle made our family super cute calendars for Christmas on Shutterfly. It had pictures of my grandpa with various people from our family and there are even pictures of each person on their birthdays, for us...ahem...more forgetful people. It looked something like this:

One year, I even made a photo book for a (now ex) boyfriend using Shutterfly. Long story short, I love Shutterfly and I decided that I would go through them to make Christmas Cards this year. Now that we actually know more people, and it's so much simpler just to upload some photos than to write out a whole long novel about how my year went, I thought that it would be fun to actually send Christmas cards this year.

Plus, Shutterfly is way awesome and is offering a sweet deal for Bloggers. Basically Bloggers get 50 Free Holiday Cards! Just for blogging about how awesome Shutterfly is. An really, why wouldn't you want to blog about that? Check out the promotion here.

I tend to be drawn to the simpler Christmas Cards. When these come in the mail from other family members and friends, I always notice the pictures. It's so interesting to see how much people have grown through the years, so I really like cards that focus more on the pictures, and less on the words. Here are a few of my absolute favorites from the Shutterfly Holiday collection:

My absolute favorite is the brown and green one. I love those colors together, plus aren't those kids in the picture the most adorable kids ever? How do you even become a model for these picture things? Can I be one?

Anyways...I don't normally send out Christmas cards anymore, but this year-with family and friends spread across the globe, and virtually no money to send Chocolate covered Mac. nuts all over the world, cute and customized Christmas cards seems to be the best option. I mean, I'm already sending my missionary buddy a whole package full of goodies for his birthday (which is today!! Happy Birthday George!!!), so I really don't want to spend another 40 or 50 bucks shipping goodies around the world.

Plus, who doesn't like a good holiday card, right?

Have a marvelous Wednesday & happy holiday card hunting!
XOXO,

Questions on a Tuesday

One of the blogs that i absolutely loves does "Hoo Are You" Tuesdays. First of all, you guys know that I love, love, love answering questions about myself. And secondly, how cute are the little owls on the Hoo Are You icons? I adore owls. Anyhoo--haha, see what i did there?--here are my answers to this weeks questions. If you want to play, go ahead and link up at Night Owl Crafting!

NightOwlCrafting

1. Do you ever burp out loud in private or public?
No, I don't! It's not that I think it's rude or anything, but more like I just don't have the ability to burp. Ever. It's so strange, I know, but it's true.

 2. How often do you get sick each year?
Maybe 3 or so times a year. But if I count colds, sinus infections, and allergies...well, I lose count already!

3. Would you rather paint a room in your house yourself, or have someone else do it for you?
Myself! I think painting is so much fun!

4. If you get 30 minutes to yourself, what do you do?
Lay on my bed and just relax. 30 minutes is actually the perfect amount of time to just sit and think

5. Do you allow people to wear shoes in your house?
Well, I live in Hawaii where it isn't appropriate to wear shoes in the house. I grew up learning to take off my shoes at the door of someone's house. It's very cultural, I guess. So obviously, when people come to my house, they'd take their shoes off. No matter how dirty my floor is!

Here's another rad question meme thing. I adore question memes! Haha. This one is from Roots and Rings, who is another awesome blogger. Want to do her link up? Click the image below and find out how!

1. What is your favorite breakfast pastry?
I love glazed and sugar donuts. And donut holes! Homygosh, I love donut holes! I also love cinnamon roles, fresh out of the oven!
2. Were you ever in a Thanksgiving or Christmas play?
I was in both! Multiple times, actually. When I was in elementary school, my school always put on Thanksgiving and Christmas plays for the community. I was an Indian for a Thanksgiving play once, and an angel in a Christmas play.
3. What is your favorite clothing accessory?
Headbands? Are those a clothing accessory? Well, it should be because I adore headbands. Also, scarfs are cute too.
4. What is your favorite item of clothing?
Dresses. I adore dresses and skirts.
5. What is your favorite color and why?
Green in pretty much every shade. I don't really know why or when I started liking them. I think it's because it reminds me of Tinker Bell and I love TInkerbell.
6. What is your favorite type of Christmas cookie?
The peanut butter cookies that my tutu used to make for Christmas every year!
7. What is your favorite scent (food, perfume/lotion)
Man. I can't pinpoint the exact smell, but I like when boys smell good, or even when they smell somewhat sweaty. I also like the smell of baked goods, and brand new books.
8. What is your favorite household cleaner?
Pine Sol. The blue one.
9. When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up? And what did you actually grow up to be?
I wanted to be the person that drove the fire helicopters and dumped water on mountain fires. I also wanted to be a lawyer and an astronomer. And a momma. I am none of those at the moment, but I'd like to be a momma soon. Oh and I'm a teacher.
10. What is the last song or album you bought?
Taylor Swift's CD, Speak Now!

P.S. Check out this giveaway from Jen at Life Spelled Jen. It's her very first one and the things she's giving away are Cah-yoooteee!!!. Seriously, go and check it out!

All I Want For Christmas Is....

So, I've been trolling around the interwebs lately. OK, I haven't really been trolling, more like reading all those flippin' awesome blogs out there. A good number of those awesome blogs are doing early Christmas lists. And since I haven't actually blogged in a while, here's my Christmas/Birthday list...

01. A tablet. I actually really want an iPad, but I've been checking out the Bamboo tablet lately. It looks pretty good. Does anyone have one? What's it like?

02. A teacup piggy. OMG, these things are so flippin adorable! I can't even begin to explain how lovely they are. I want one so bad. I love little piggies. Of course, I could probably never have one, since my Lady Luvs would probably attack my little piggie.
See how adorable?! (via)

03. A way cute journal. In 2011, I'm going to start writing my book. I don't have any ideas or anything (yet), but I will. I want a journal so that I can jot stuff down when I'm on the go. Plus, I think it would be way cool to be old school and actually write a book, rather than just typing the whole thing up. Writing a book is actually on my 101 in 1001 list, so that should be fun to complete!

04. The LOTR trilogy on DVD.

05. A lifetime supply of Fruit Punch Gatoraide. I love Gatoraide.

06. A hair straightening treatment. I miss having straight hair all the time. I love my curls, but I'd rather have straight hair. So I can have way cute side bangs.

Yeah, that's all I can think of for now. I don't really want a lot of things. My family and I are going to Florida and Las Vegas, so I don't really wanna ask for much, y'know?

Fill in the Blank Fridays

I absolutely adore linky thingies. For someone just starting a blog (like me), it helps me to get to know other people and to find awesome blogs. One of my favorite link ups is Fill in the Blank Fridays via Lauren's blog: The Little Things We Do. And, I don't just love Fill in the Blank Fridays, I love everything about Lauren's blog. It's super cute and she posts the cutest things too. So, here we go with today's Fill in the Blanks!

1.   The most spontaneous thing I've ever done was    I'm not a very spontaneous person, so I'm not really sure how to answer this question. I guess, honestly, my most spontaneous thing I've ever done was jump off a rock into the ocean.

2.  The best gift I've ever received was   the gift of the Holy Ghost at my baptism. I truly believe that the Holy Ghost is the most wonderful gift that can ever be given.

3.  A time that I was truly and genuinely surprised was    my 19th birthday part when every single one of my friends showed up and spent the entire day with me.

4.  I can't leave the house without        my cell phone and a notebook.

5.  My favorite day of the week is      Sunday    because      I get to go to church and feel the spirit and listen to amazing lessons. I also get to relax all day on Sundays!

6.  Something that can always make me laugh is        Lady. She's the funniest pup in the entire world.

7.  My perfect day would include       Waking up to the sound of rain hitting the roof. Staying in bed until noon with a good book and a cuddly puppy. Spending the afternoon eating warm brownies and hot chocolate with someone special. And a quiet dinner outside on the back porch while watching the rain fall and ending the night slow dancing.

Wee Bit of Meee!!!

If you really knew me, you would know that I love Memes, Surveys and Quizzes. Mostly, well, because I enjoy talking about myself. It's a self-esteem booster, y'know? So, obviously when I stopped by Angela's blog and saw all of the Memes that she links up, I had to do them. And I'm starting today with this one by Leigh Ashley who does this meme game every Wednesday. If you want to play a long, go and link up now!

{one} do you collect anything? if so, what and how long have you been collecting? Growing up, I collected Barbie dolls, just like my mom. I haven't gotten a new one in years, but I would really love to start collecting again!
{two} what is one cleaning tip that you swear by? Yeah, I don't really have any cleaning tips. Oh wait, I do! I love Bacto for sanitizing instead of Clorox. It's a bit safer, especially around children. We use it to clean our classrooms all the time.
{three} who would you call for bail money? My grandma. Haha.
{four} what is one thing you miss about being a kid? The TV shows. I miss all the old 90s Nick Shows and One Saturday Morning. Also the simplicity of it all and not really having to worry if people liked you or not.
{five} name a few of your guilty pleasures. My guilty pleasure is peanut butter. Oh, and nutella. Anything including peanut butter and/or nutella makes me melt...
{six} how early do you start your holiday shopping? Well, I've learned that shopping early can be a good thing. You get all the awesome sales.
{seven} what is a family tradition that you would like to pass on to your significant other/children? I actually want to start new family traditions when I get married and have a family. My family used to have awesome family traditions, but not so much anymore....
{eight} what do you consider your greatest achievement? Being able to live on my own, paying my rent and other bills. I know, lame, but I'm still young..sooo...
{nine} what do you do to pamper yourself? I don't really do much, actually. Just sitting in a nice, warm bath is good enough for me.
{ten} if you were to start your own restaurant, what would it be called? Hmmm...Tasia's Place. LOL. I don't know what we'd make there, though...
